EMMI program on "Halo Physics at the Neutron Drip Line"

We would like to announce the EMMI program "Halo Physics at the Neutron Drip Line" to be held at the GSI in Darmstadt,
Germany Jan 27 - Feb 21, 2014.

The aim of the program is to bring together experimentalists, that are interested in these exotic systems, with theorists working on the
description of threshold features in nuclei along the drip lines.

In particular we will try to address

* halo candidates theory vs. experiment
* effective field theories as a tool for weakly-bound systems
* new directions in ab initio methods
* progress in theoretical methods describing nuclear low-energy reactions
* key experiments providing input and tests for theory

If the program budget allows, costs for lodging and a small diem will be covered for the whole duration of the attendance.

To apply for participation please send an email by November 1st, 2013 with the following information to dripline2014@gmail.com

* First and Last Name
* Home Institution
* Academic Status (Professor, Postdoc, Graduate Student)
* Attendance Dates
* Title of possible presentation

The selection of program participants and the final schedule will be made by the organizers and depends on the program budget and space
availability.

The organizers:

* Tom Aumann (TU Darmstadt, GSI)
* Christian Forssen (Chalmers)
* Gaute Hagen (ORNL)
* Lucas Platter (ANL)
* Jimmy Rotureau (Chalmers)
