Post-doc position at MIT

The Laboratory for Nuclear Science at MIT invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position to work on the GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab. The main goal of GlueX is to understand the nature of confinement in QCD by mapping the spectrum of mesons in which the gluonic field binding the quarks is in an excited state. The successful candidate will play a major role in R&D and construction of a focusing DIRC particle ID system for GlueX. The inclusion of such a system will greatly expand the physics potential of the experiment. The candidate will also be expected to lead analysis of the data collected in the next few years.
