Research Associate - University of Virginia

The Department of Physics at the University of Virginia is seeking a Post-doctoral Research Associate to work in the operation and maintenance of Jefferson Lab Moller polarimeters and in the area of detector development for experimental nuclear and particle physics. Candidates with outstanding research potential and expertise in beam polarimetry are invited to apply.

This is a one year appointment however appointments may be renewed for an additional two, one-year increments and is contingent upon available funding, satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Physics, as well as, a strong background in particle beam polarimetry and polarized electron beams is required by the appointment start date.
