Postdoc position in the in-beam gamma-ray spectroscopy group at NSCL

NSCL's Gamma-ray Spectroscopy Group invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the experimental nuclear science program at the Coupled Cyclotron Facility with a focus on work with GRETINA, the novel US next-generation gamma-ray detector system designed to study the structure and properties of atomic nuclei. GRETINA is presently running its second fast-beam campaign at NSCL, coupled to the S800 Spectrograph for in-beam gamma-ray spectroscopy experiments with rare-isotope beams at velocities of v/c > 0.3. The successful candidate will participate in the operation of GRETINA at NSCL and will have the opportunity to be involved in a broad array of experiments, including the analysis of data taken with this unique setup. It is expected that the candidate will contribute to the ongoing Nuclear Structure research program of the group (http://www.nscl.msu.edu/~gade/). It would be greatly appreciated if this information could be passed on to potential candidates. Interested graduate students and postdocs should feel free to contact me directly (gade@nscl.msu.edu). More details on benefits and the application process can be found at

Thanks and best regards,
