PDF positions with Brookhaven Nuclear Theory Group
The Nuclear Theory Group at Brookhaven National Laboratory plans to hire four postdoctoral Research Associates to work in theoretical nuclear physics, starting on or about October 1, 2018.
Research activities in the group include research on perturbative QCD and spin physics, lattice QCD at high temperatures and densities, QCD at high energies (small x), development of many-body QCD methods in extreme environments, heavy ion phenomenology in support of the experimental program at RHIC and the LHC, and research in support of future facilities in Nuclear Physics. A particular focus will be research related to the science case for an Electron-Ion Collider.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in theoretical nuclear or particle physics, awarded within the past five years. Applications received by December 15th will receive full consideration.
