The Department of Physics at William & Mary invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in theoretical hadronic physics to begin August 10, 2019.
The initial appointment for this position will be jointly supported by the Theory Center at Jefferson Lab as a bridged staff scientist. Candidates must have experience in theoretical Nuclear and Hadronic Physics, including the fields of perturbative and non-perturbative QCD, hadron structure and spectroscopy, effective field theories and the application of lattice QCD to all aspects of strong interaction physics. The successful candidate is expected to initiate and maintain a strong research program, seek external funding, and demonstrate excellence in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
