Permanent position at IPN Orsay

Open IN2P3-CNRS Permanent Position on JLab physics at IPN Orsay (France)

A permanent position for a young researcher just opened at IN2P3-CNRS, with a priority affiliation to IPN Orsay in the field of experimental hadronic physics at Jefferson Lab (http://gestionoffres.dsi.cnrs.fr/fo/offres/default-en.php, Section n° 01: Interactions, particles, nuclei, from the laboratory to the cosmos, N°01/02).

The IPN Orsay team is involved in the 12-GeV program at Jefferson Lab, with a particular emphasis on the study of nucleon structure via measurements of Generalized Parton Distribution. The successful candidate will have the possibility to be involved in a broad experimental program, currently ongoing and spanning over the next decade, in the Halls A, B, and C. For the longer-term future, the team is planning an active involvement in the experimental program of the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC).

The applicants, who must have a PhD in physics, will have to upload their candidature on the CNRS web site (http://www.dgdr.cnrs.fr/drhchercheurs/concoursch/default-en.htm), and go through a selection process with the CNRS 01 Committee.

The deadline for the application is January 8th.

The interviews of selected candidates will be held in France during the spring of 2019 and the new hire will begin her/his activity in October 2019.
