The Medium Energy Group at BNL's Physics department has an opening for three (3) Postdoctoral Research Associates.
The selected candidates will work on integrating the requirements from the versatile physics program of an EIC into the interaction region, the eRHIC detector and the auxiliary detector designs (i.e. Luminosity Monitor, low Q2 -Tagger, electron polarimetry) and perform studies on beam backgrounds of the physics program. In addition, the Research Associates will contribute to further develop the scientific portfolio of the EIC and analyze polarized proton-proton data from the STAR experiment at RHIC.
