Nuclear Theory faculty position at Georgia State University

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Georgia State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in nuclear theory focusing on QCD and the physics of the Electron Ion Collider. The initial appointment for this position will be jointly supported by the Theory Center at Jefferson Lab as a bridged staff scientist. The position will commence in Fall 2020. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and post-doctoral research credentials in Theoretical Nuclear Physics. The successful candidate is expected to initiate and maintain a significant research program, interact strongly with the existing Experimental Nuclear Physics group in the Department, seek and secure external research funding, and demonstrate excellence in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
