Open Permanent Position at IPN Orsay (France)

A permanent position for a young researcher opened at IN2P3-CNRS, to work at IPN Orsay in the field of experimental hadronic physics at Jefferson Lab.
The IPN Orsay team is involved in the 12-GeV program at Jefferson Lab, with a particular emphasis on the study of nucleon structure via measurements of Generalized Parton Distribution. The successful candidate will have the possibility to be involved in a broad experimental program, currently ongoing and spanning over the next decade, in the Halls A, B, and C. For the longer-term future, the team is planning an active involvement in the experimental program of the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC).
The applicants, who must have a PhD in physics, will go through a selection process lead by a CNRS Committee ("Section 01").

The deadline for the application is early January 2020 (the official date will be communicated shortly).

The interviews of selected candidates will be held in France during the spring of 2020 and the new hire will begin her/his activity in October 2020.
