POST-DOCTORAL ASSOCIATE POSITION IN MEDIUM ENERGY PHYSICS UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE

The Medium Energy Physics group at the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in experimental nuclear physics. The successful candidate will join the group’s effort at Jefferson Lab (Newport News, VA) to perform experiments on short-range correlations, as well as, the EMC effect.

The appointment will be initially for one year, with possible renewal for an additional year upon mutual agreement and availability of funds.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate must have a PhD in nuclear physics and demonstrable experience with experiments at a major nuclear physics user facility. The successful candidate will be expected to take the lead (including the supervision of graduate students) in the commissioning and running of the experiments including data analysis.
