Accelerator Physics PDF

Jefferson Lab's Center for Injectors and Sources is seeking a post-doctoral research scientist for immediate hire.   Working with other Jefferson Lab staff and international colleagues, the incumbent will participate in a collaborative environment to evaluate the design and parameters of a positron beam source/injector upgrade concept to the CEBAF accelerator.  The scientist will take a lead role in aspects of the technical design, modelling and simulation, to define the overall layout and to optimize key parameters for efficient production and collection of both polarized and unpolarized positron beams.   A  deliverable of the project is a proposal for a follow-on experiment to build and test a proto-type positron source for the CEBAF accelerator.
