Announcement of CGS17 as in person meeting March 21 - 25, 2022

After a long waiting time we are glad to announce the new dates for the 17th International Symposium on Capture Gamma Ray Spectroscopy and Related Topics - CGS17. The conference will take place as in-person meeting in the time period 21 - 25 March 2022 in Grenoble in the MinaTec Conference center. The conference center gives us multiple possibilities to organize the event while taking into account all necessary sanitary regulations. In order to favor the cross discipline exchange, typical for this conference series, we invite everybody to participate in person. Depending on the evolution of the pandemic situation, we will additionally consider a virtual access to the conference (streaming).

We will re-open the conference website for registration and abstract submission by 2nd November 2021. Old registrations from 2019 and 2020 will be removed and we would ask you all to register again. All invited speakers will soon be individually contacted.

Due to the pandemic situation, we decided to go through a pre-registration procedure. During this procedure, we will ask you to submit a preliminary title and abstract of your eventual contribution. The conference fees as communicated at this stage will not change anymore. Participation in the pre-registration gives you access to the early-bird discount of the conference fee. However, we will not charge them by this time. The pre-registration process will be closed 16th January. Based on the number of pre-registered participants we can optimize the sanitary conditions at the conference site.

Beginning of February, we will confirm your pre-registrations and ask you to pay the conference fee. All later last moment registrations will be charged the full conference fee.

  • For the first 40 pre-registered PhD students (proof of PhD status will be required) we offer 6 nights free of charge housing in the ILL guest house.
  • For the first 60 pre-registered conference participants we offer accommodation at ILL guest house at a low rate of 40 Euro/night.

We will do our very best to get this conference organized. We count on you helping us to make this a outstanding event. Please don't hesitate contacting us for any suggestion or comment.

Hope to see you all in Grenoble,

The CGS17 local organizing committee
