Job Postings

The Relativistic Nuclear Collisions program at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is seeking outstanding candidates for one or more post-doctoral positions. Primary focus areas for the position(s) include:

1.  Contributions to the ePIC Silicon Vertex Tracker, through software and simulation work and/or hardware development
 2.  Data analysis for the ALICE or sPHENIX experiments
 3.  AI/ML research in support of RNC Nuclear Physics priorities

We have opened a position for a postdoc on Hyper-K at the University of Winnipeg.  You can find the post with details of the post and instructions for application here:

We currently opened a 2-year postdoctoral position at the Jagiellonian University,
in the field of hadron physics with a focus on analysis of pp@4.5GeV HADES data,
including studies of light meson production and searches for possible BSM signatures.

Please find below an ad for an open post-doc at OSU that will involve ePIC involvement.  We will consider applicants until the position is filled.

The School of Physics at Peking University (PKU) invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in theoretical nuclear physics.

One position focuses on ab initio nuclear theory (position A), and the other focuses on the interface of nuclear and particle physics (position B) to study physics beyond the Standard Model. The appointments are expected to begin in June 2026 or later (start dates are flexible). Successful candidates will work in the theoretical group of Professors Baishan Hu and Furong Xu.

Research areas:

We are a research group at the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) working in Nuclear Physics, with a focus on center symmetry, the chiral phase transition, and fundamental problems in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). The postdoctoral position is linked to the project entitled "Many-Body
Physics Dynamics", which aims to investigate the properties of strongly interacting matter under extreme conditions of temperature and density. The project includes the study of QCD phase transitions, phase diagrams, and theoretical and phenomenological models applied to nuclear physics and astrophysics.

We are looking to hire a postdoc at UC Berkeley, to work on ALICE ultra-peripheral collisions and 50% on Cscape (an outgrowth of jetscape); the latter work will focus on using Bayesian inference to probe the properties of nuclear matter at low-x.  Some EIC work might also be possible.

The attached file provides more information on the position, including how to apply.

Please find in attachment a call for candidates for a junior staff position in experimental QGP physics at Saclay.

The Quark Nuclear Science Institute (QNSI), Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo,
invites applications for an Assistant Professor position.

The field of specialization is high-energy QCD theory, with strong relevance to the physics of the EIC.
