Minimum Qualifications:
1. A Ph.D. or equivalent in Experimental Nuclear Physics, or a closely related field;
2. A minimum of 2 years research experience (can be inclusive of graduate training);
3. Demonstrated ability in the conception, execution, and/or analysis of nuclear physics experiments;
4. A strong interest in the ongoing research program at Jefferson Lab;
5. Ability to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, demonstrated either by formal classroom / lab
teaching or professional presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Postdoctoral research experience;
• Demonstrated excellence in the conception, execution, and/or analysis of nuclear physics experiments;
• Research program aligned with the national priorities outlined in 2023 NSAC Long Range Plan “A New Era of
Discovery”;
• A strong publication record;
• Experience preparing peer-reviewed external grant proposals or experiment proposals;
• Demonstrated excellence in Teaching.

The Physics Department at Old Dominion University contributes to the overall
