ExtreMe Matter Institute EMMI call for proposals

The ExtreMe Matter Institute EMMI at the GSI Helmholtzzentrum fuer
Schwerionenforschung invites proposals for scientific events of
various formats, including Workshops and Rapid Reaction Task Force
meetings.

EMMI is dedicated to experimental and theoretical research in the area
of matter under extreme conditions of temperature, pressure or
density. The main research topics are:

- quark-gluon plasma, phase structure of strongly interacting matter,

- hadron structure and reactions,

- structure and dynamics of neutron-rich systems from the laboratory
to stars, including neutron stars and neutron star mergers,

- electromagnetic plasmas of high energy density,

- ultra-cold quantum gases and extreme states in atomic physics,
including physics of antimatter and ions in traps,

all understood in a broad sense.

All researchers active in these areas are entitled to submit proposals
to EMMI. For a detailed description of the different formats and
guidelines for preparing a proposal please see
   http://www.gsi.de/emmi/call-for-proposals.html

All proposals are evaluated by the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC)
of EMMI. The SAC meets twice per year, usually in May and
November. The usual deadlines for submission of proposals are April 15
and October 15 for the corresponding meeting of the SAC.

*** Please note: for the current round we can accept proposal
    submitted before May 6, 2020. ***

Please feel free to forward this mail to interested colleagues.

With best regards,
Peter Braun-Munzinger (EMMI Scientific Director)
Carlo Ewerz (EMMI Scientific Coordinator)
