IIT-Bombay CFNS joint PDF position

Applications are invited for one postdoc position in the Department of Physics, IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India. The appointment will be jointly with the Center for Frontiers in Nuclear Science (CFNS), Stony Brook University (USA). The postdoc will be expected to work on theory related to the physics of the upcoming Electron-Ion Collider (EIC); including transverse momentum dependent parton distributions, single-spin asymmetries, and nucleon tomography.
The salary of the postdoc will be
Fresh Ph.D. with no post-PhD experience Rs. 65,000/- p.m.
PhD + 1 year of post-PhD experience Rs. 68,000/-p.m
PhD + 2 years of post-PhD experience Rs. 71,000/-p.m.
Non-lapsable contingency grant Rs. 15,000/year.No on-campus accommodation will be provided but HRA @24% of the salary will be given. The appointment will be for a period of two years. The candidate hired will be expected to visit CFNS for three months per year (provided such travel is possible) for scientific collaboration, financial support for such visits will be provided by CFNS. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or should have submitted the Ph.D. thesis. Candidates with working experience in the related specialization will be preferred.
