MITP Senior Postdoctoral Fellowships in Theoretical Physics
The Mainz Institute for Theoretical Physics (MITP) invites nominations for the MITP Senior Postdoctoral Fellowships in Theoretical Physics for period 2025-2028. These 3-year positions target experienced postdoctoral researchers in the fields of particle and astroparticle physics, nuclear and hadron physics as well as cosmology, who show a high potential for becoming future scientific leaders. Nominees should be scientists of exceptional ability and with a proven record of accomplishments.
Candidates need to be nominated by a faculty member or a senior researcher, using the online nomination form available at: https://indico.mitp.uni-mainz.de/event/223/.
A letter of reference is not required at the time of nomination. More detailed information can be found here.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, 27 September 2024.
The MITP Senior Postdoctoral Fellowships offer unique career development opportunities in an attractive research environment within the PRISMA+ Cluster of Excellence (https://www.prisma.uni-mainz.de/) at Johannes Gutenberg University. The fellows will have access to the MITP scientific programs and workshops, offering a broad range of unique networking opportunities not available at other institutions.
The selected fellows will receive a competitive salary and be completely independent in their research. They will also be provided with discretionary research funds of 10.000 Euro per year, which can be used e.g. to cover travel expenses, organize collaboration meetings and workshops, or buy equipment. The fellowship further includes an active faculty mentoring.
We wish to thank you in advance for taking the time to nominate an outstanding postdoctoral researcher for this year’s MITP Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship competition.
