PDF position at University of York

A 2 year (in the first instance) postdoctoral research associate position (see here) is available in the nuclear physics group at the University of York, UK (https://www.york.ac.uk/physics/research/nuclear/). The post is based in the hadron physics theme and will involve (i) R&D for new polarised particle detector technologies,  which have potential application for future EIC programmes and more generally in nuclear and neutrino physics laboratories and (ii)  contribute to the group's engagement in simulation, detector design and physics programme development for the future Electron Ion Collider (EIC) at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA.  There is also the possibility to participate in the group's current activities at Jefferson Lab in the USA (http://www.jlab.org) and the A2 collaboration at MAMI in Germany (http://kph.uni-mainz.de). The post could start as early as November 2022.
