Postdoctoral position in nuclear theory at McGill University

The nuclear/subatomic theory group at McGill University invites application for a postdoctoral position in theoretical nuclear physics, starting in September 2026 (exact date to be determined). Our group (Professors Charles Gale and Sangyong Jeon, graduate students) is active in the field of hot and dense QCD matter in and out of equilibrium. Areas of interest include both soft and penetrating probes of heavy-ion collisions, relativistic viscous fluid dynamics, finite-temperature field theories, numerical modeling, and hadronic phenomenology. McGill's Department of Physics has research groups active in most areas of modern physics.

Applications, including a complete CV (with publications), a statement of research interest, and three letters of reference should be submitted through the Academic Jobs Online portal: https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/30771

Review of application will begin on November 17, 2025 and will continue until the position is filled. For questions about the position, please contact Professor Charles Gale (Charles.gale@mcgill.ca), or Professor Sangyong Jeon (Sangyong.jeon@mcgill.ca).
