Conferences

Registration is now OPEN for the Excellence in Detector and Instrumentation Technologies (EDIT) school taking place at Fermilab, Batavia Illinois USA from March 5-16, 2018. EDIT will train High Energy/Nuclear Physics graduate students and post-docs in a wide variety of techniques in particle detection. Please see EDIT2018.fnal.gov for more details

We are pleased to announce that the next International Conference on Few-Body Problems in Physics (FB22) will
be held in Caen, France from 9 to 13 July next year. This will be the 22nd edition of this conference series which
began in 1959 in London and was most recently held in Chicago in 2015 and Fukuoka in 2012.

it is our pleasure to announce the "Third Andean School on Nuclear Physics", to be held from July 24 - 28, 2017 at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. The focus of the third school will be on QCD, quark-gluon plasma and heavy ion collisions. Following the pattern of earlier schools, there will be a set of lectures delivered by experts in the field, invited talks and a poster session where students can present their results.

This is to inform you that we are hosting the eighth ZED-2 Reactor Physics Safety & Instrumentation School from May 29 - June 2, 2017, at Chalk River. We encourage you to pass this information along to any students or colleagues that you think would be interested in attending this event.

We are happy to announce the opening of the registration for the Second Pisa Summer School which will be held at the Aula Magna of the Polo Didattico Fibonacci of the University of Pisa 24-28 July 2017.

This time the title will be
Rewriting Nuclear Physics Texbooks: Basic nuclear interactions and their link to nuclear processes in the cosmos and on earth

The 2017 National Nuclear Physics Summer School (NNPSS) will be held from July  9-22, 2017, at the University of Colorado in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. The summer school is open to graduate students and postdocs within a few years of their PhD (on either side). Lecturers will provide pedagogical reviews and discuss future prospects covering the full range of topics in experimental and theoretical nuclear physics. Additional seminars on special topics and applications will also be given.

2017 International Summer School on Reaction Theory

June 12-22, 2017, Bloomington, Indiana, US

TRIUMF is presenting a graduate course in Accelerator Physics through UBC and U. Vic to be held Jan-Apr 2017.

The course will be taught at TRIUMF, by TRIUMF experts, with teleconference communication for satellite students.

The course should appeal to students of Accelerator Physics, as well as to students of accelerator based Nuclear and Particle Physics and other students interested in Particle Accelerators.

A course information package including lecture outline is attached.

If you are interested in attending the ZED-2 Reactor Safety and Instrumentation School at CNL, Chalk River this December, please see the registration form and flyer at the bottom of this message.
