Theory PDF position at ODU

he Department of Physics at Old Dominion University invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in theoretical nuclear/particle physics beginning in Fall 2024. The successful applicant will work with
two members of ODU Nuclear Theory Group (Profs. I. Balitsky and A. V. Radyushkin), and their colleagues at
homas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility(Jefferson Lab) on a program of studies in one of the following areas of theoretical nuclear physics:
(i) study of perturbative and nonperturbative aspects of interactions
described by quantum chromodynamics (QCD) at high energy within the BFKL approach;
(ii) application of perturbative QCD to lattice calculations of parton distributions within the pseudo-distribution approach.

These two are the most preferable directions of research. Additional direction of research is
(iii) application of perturbative QCD to hard electroproduction processes included in the physics program of Jefferson Lab.

The applicant must have a PhD or equivalent degree in theoretical nuclear or particle physics received not later than August 31, 2024, and should have at least one year of PhD experience in one of the areas of perturbative QCD listed above.
Applicants should submit a CV, list of publications, brief statement of research interests and arrange to have
at least two letters of recommendation sent to aradyush@odu.edu.
Resumes/Applications should be submitted on the webpage: https://hera.odurf.odu.edu/careers/
Look there for Position 24-041.

Applications will be reviewed starting August 26, 2024 and will continue until the position is filled.
