Xe 0vBB workshop in Montreal, November 12-14, 2025

This is an announcement of the workshop centered around the search for 0vBB in Xe. The workshop will be held in Montreal Nov. 12-14, 2025 (https://nyx.physics.mcgill.ca/event/538/). Goal of this workshop is to bring together the Xe double beta decay community across different experiments to discuss potential strategies towards a sensitivity goal of 10^28 years and beyond. For the coming years a common challenge of the field will be the availability of resources as projected detector costs are exceeding several hundred's of millions of Dollars/Euro. By leveraging international collaborations and joining efforts on technical developments, we see potential to advance our research by joining force. A potential outcome of the workshop could be the creating of a consortium or a working group to develop a more global Xe-focused strategy.

We invite interested participants to consult the preliminary agenda and to register for the workshop: https://nyx.physics.mcgill.ca/event/538/. For topics that we missed in the agenda we hope that people will submit an abstract (also for blue sky ideas).

Important dates:

   Registration opens: Sept 10, 2025
   Abstract deadline: Oct 6, 2025 11:59 EDT
   Registration deadline: Oct 28, 2025 11:59 EDT
   Workshop begins Nov 12, 2025
