Yale University Assistant Professor, Experimental Nuclear Physics

The Department of Physics at Yale University invites applications for a faculty appointment in the area of experimental nuclear physics. Applications will be considered at the Assistant Professor level.

The areas of interest for this search include experimental topics in Hot and Cold QCD research broadly defined, such as those currently, but not exclusively, underway at BNL, JLAB, CERN and GSI. The successful candidate is expected to initiate a vibrant research group at the Yale Wright Laboratory, be an engaged member of the Physics Department and contribute to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Yale is engaged in campus-wide cross-cutting investments in instrumentation development including significant new investment in the Wright Laboratory which houses unique on-site state-of-the-art research facilities, technical infrastructure, and interaction spaces to support innovative instrument development, experimental research, and training of the next generation of scientists.
