The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of South Carolina invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow with the experimental intermediate energy group. The research of our group involves the study of nuclei and nucleons with electromagnetic probes at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JLab) and the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI).

The medium energy groups at Duke University invite applications for a postdoctoral research associate.
The successful candidate will make important contributions to the EIC R&D program where the group has significant responsibilities for the Cherenkov based PID detectors, including but not limited to simulation and reconstruction software development.
Additionally, it is expected that the candidate will take a leading role in the physics program of the CLAS12 detector at Jefferson Lab,
The position can be based at either Duke University or Jefferson Laboratory.

The Experimental Nuclear Physics group led by Prof. Kent Paschke in the Department of Physics at the University of Virginia invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position. The successful candidate will be expected to make significant contributions to preparations for the MOLLER experiment at Jefferson Laboratory. Activities will include simulation, design and testing of experimental hardware, planning for the execution of the experiment, and supervising or coordinating the work of other researchers including graduate and undergraduate students.

We have an immediate opening for an outstanding postdoctoral researcher leading our francium spectroscopy program at ISAC/TRIUMF in Vancouver, Canada. Our ultimate goal is to perform an atomic parity violation (APV) measurement in Fr. As the heaviest alkali, it provides an 18x larger effect than Cs, at the cost of having no stable isotope. We have established a francium laser trapping facility and have started our investigations of the highly forbidden 7s-8s transition.

The Cyclotron Institute at Texas A&M University has an opening for a post-doctoral research associate (with the hope it would turn into a research scientist position) with the TAMUTRAP group, using trapped atoms and ions to test the standard model.  Please see

Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) is home to world-class research facilities and scientific expertise that attract resident and visiting sc

The Physics Department at the UMass Amherst invites applications for up to three (3) Postdoctoral Research Associate positions in experimental nuclear/particle physics. Successful candidates will work on the MOLLER experiment at Jefferson Lab, poised to make the world’s most precise measurement of a low energy purely leptonic weak neutral current process and on/or nEXO double beta decay experiment that will search for lepton number violation with unprecedented sensitivity.
