The Laboratory for Nuclear Science at MIT invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position to work on the GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab. The main goal of GlueX is to understand the nature of confinement in QCD by mapping the spectrum of mesons in which the gluonic field binding the quarks is in an excited state. The successful candidate will play a major role in R&D and construction of a focusing DIRC particle ID system for GlueX. The inclusion of such a system will greatly expand the physics potential of the experiment.
The INT is currently attempting to fill several positions, and I urge you to share this information with anyone qualified who might be interested. We only accept electronic applications, with more information about how to apply at http://www.int.washington.edu/jobs_int.html
INT Senior Fellow/Director, with tenure in the UW Physics Department.
Attached please find an advertisement for a postdoctoral position at Stony Brook University to work on the JLab Hall A parity-violation and form factor programs. I would appreciate it if you bring this to the attention of prospective applicants. Please note that the AJO website listed is not active yet; it will be active sometime during the week of Dec 1. Review of applications will begin during the week of Dec 8 and the first interviews will be carried out soon thereafter.
Canada’s Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (PI), welcomes applications for the Emmy Noether Visiting Fellowship program. The Emmy Noether Fellowships are central to Perimeter Institute’s initiatives to support female physicists. Perimeter Institute promotes an inclusive, welcoming culture and a family-friendly workplace. The Fellowships will be attractive to physicists who wish to pursue research at the institute while on leave from their faculty positions elsewhere.
The lattice QCD group at the George Washington University anticipates an opening for a Post Doctoral Scientist position starting in Fall 2015, but a starting date as early as January 2015 is possible. The appointment is for a one-year term and may be extended to a second year, based on mutual agreement. A renewal for a third year is possible, contingent upon the availability of funding.
Please find attached information about a Post-Doc position available with the Nuclear Structure group at UWS.
The Department of Physics (www.physics.mcgill.ca) at McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning as early as September 2015. This is a tenure-track position at McGill University that will be jointly funded with TRIUMF for an initial six-year period. For more information, please see the attached documents.
