The Center for Frontiers in Nuclear Science (CFNS) was set up to support scientific activities aimed at the U.S. Electron Ion Collider (EIC).  CFNS established a Joint CFNS-institutional postdoctoral fellow program in 2018/2019, which has been very successful in supporting young scientists to work on EIC related activities at various institutions within the EIC Users group. Under this program CFNS pays 50% of the salary for a postdoctoral fellow (up to a maximum of 30k$) at a remote institution and $5k in travel support (to and from the Center) per year, up to a period of two years.

The Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography at University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a postdoctoral position with its experimental nuclear physics group.  The research activities of the group focus on precision tests of low-energy QCD and searches for new physics beyond the standard model via the light pseudoscalar meson decay measurements at Jefferson Lab.
