The University of Tennessee is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in the experimental low-energy nuclear physics program.
The successful candidate will lead the development of a new high resolution neutron detector for decay and reaction studies.
This research program is funded by the Stewardship Science Academic Alliances with DOE-NNSA and the appointment is expected to begin in January 2016. The candidate should have demonstrable experience with methods in experimental nuclear physics, as well as knowledge of standard data analysis and simulation tools.
A new position (Nuclear Instrumentation Specialist) has been advertised in our group.

The Jefferson Lab Theory Center expects to have up to four postdoctoral positions from September 2016 to join a program of research in theoretical hadronic and nuclear physics that motivates and supports JLab experiments at 12 GeV and beyond.
This includes:
Calculation of the properties of light nuclei and their electroweak interactions using Quantum Monte Carlo methods;
Studies of strong coupling QCD on the lattice and in the continuum to compute the spectrum, decays, transition form factors and multidimensional structure of hadrons;
The Department of Physics and Astronomy (http://www.uvic.ca/science/physics/) consists of 22 faculty members with research interests in astronomy and astrophysics, particle physics, condensed matter physics, medical physics and ocean physics. The vibrant astronomy group, consisting of seven faculty members, benefits from close relations with the nearby NRC Herzberg facility and its staff, telescopes and instrumentation, and also has full access to all Canadian facilities.
The Polarized Target group at the University of Virginia invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position. Our group currently has two research faculty, one research scientist and one post-doctoral research associate, and 3 graduate students.
