The ALICE Group in Trieste (Italy) invites applications for two postdoctoral research positions to work on the development and characterization of particle detectors based on Monolithic Active Pixel Sensors (MAPS). The application deadline is September 6th 2024.
he Department of Physics at Old Dominion University invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in theoretical nuclear/particle physics beginning in Fall 2024. The successful applicant will work with
two members of ODU Nuclear Theory Group (Profs. I. Balitsky and A. V. Radyushkin), and their colleagues at
homas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility(Jefferson Lab) on a program of studies in one of the following areas of theoretical nuclear physics:
(i) study of perturbative and nonperturbative aspects of interactions
There is a recent call for a postdoctoral position at AGH University of Krakow in Poland:
The Hall C postdoctoral fellow is expected to take an active role in the upcoming Hall C experimental program at Jefferson Lab. Hall C has successfully finished a large number of experiments with the new Super High Momentum Spectrometer (SHMS) and High Momentum Spectrometer (HMS). In the upcoming run period, Hall C will be running experiments to study additional areas of Physics and collaborate in developing a future physics program.
Jefferson Lab’s Hall A/C is looking for a Staff Scientist who will assume a leading role in the construction and/or operation of multiple Hall subsystems to support an exciting and diverse physics program. Hall A is currently running the Super BigBite Spectrometer (SBS) suite of experiments, while preparing for the future MOLLER and SoLID projects. A vigorous scientific program is foreseen for Hall C using the HMS and SHMS spectrometers, as well as new equipment such as the Neutral Particle Spectrometer.
Jefferson Lab has an opening for a two-year postdoctoral fellow to work in the Hall B Group. Hall B currently comprises 22 scientists, 2 joint appointments, 3 postdocs, and designer/engineering/technical staff.
The laser-driven experiments department, ELI-NP, Romania, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in nuclear photonics. The position will start as soon as possible and could be continued until March 2027. It is possible to continue as a staff member afterward (subjected to various conditions).
Please see the open tenure-track position in the thermalized exotic nuclei group at GSI. The position main activity will be the assembly, commissioning and operation of the Super-FRS cryogenic stopping cell. Please forward it to possible interested candidates.

A two-year, career-focused postdoctoral position in low-energy experimental nuclear physics in the physics department in the Tennessee Technological University Physics Department is currently open for application. The position can be filled immediately.
The Department of Physics, Engineering Physics and Astronomy at Queen’s University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (or tenured position at the rank of Associate Professor). The successful candidate will develop a globally recognizable research program that complements the research programs in particle astrophysics foreseen for SNOLAB and by the Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute.
