The lattice QCD group at the George Washington University anticipates an opening for a Post-Doctoral Scientist position starting in Fall 2020, but an earlier or later starting date can be arranged. The appointment is for a one-year term and may be extended to a second year, based on mutual agreement. A renewal for a third year is possible, contingent upon the availability of funding.
Attached is an ad for a new tenure track position in theoretical physics at UNBC. The competition is really wide open and I would love to see applications from theoretical subatomic physics.Dr Elie Korkmaz

The Department of Energy's Institute for Nuclear Theory, at the University of Washington, invites applications for two "INT Fellow" positions starting Fall 2020. These positions carry the rank of Research Assistant Professor within the Physics Department, and are limited term appointments of up to 5 years duration. These are full-time, 12-month positions and are not eligible for tenure. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Opportunities are available for teaching and graduate student supervision.

The Cluster of Excellence "Precision Physics, Fundamental Interactions and Structure of Matter (PRISMA+)" addresses the basic questions about the nature of the fundamental building blocks of matter and their importance for the physics of the universe. It consists of renowned research groups that work primarily in the areas of astroparticle, high energy and hadron physics, nuclear chemistry as well as precision physics with ultra-cold neutrons and ion traps.

The Nuclear Theory Group at UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory anticipates having postdoctoral fellow positions available starting in the fall of 2020. Group interests include tests of fundamental symmetries using atoms and nuclei; neutrino physics and astrophysics; the modeling of supernovae and neutron star mergers as well as associated nucleosynthesis and observables; lattice QCD applied to nucleon and nuclear properties; the
The Group of Applied Nuclear Physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology is inviting applications for a researcher position at the level of a postdoctoral fellow or a research scientist. We are a multidisciplinary group performing technical research in support of international security. Problems under investigation include the detection of nuclear materials in the flow of commerce, nuclear detection in public spaces, and nuclear techniques for treaty monitoring and arms control verification. More information about the team and the research program can be found here.
DESY has an opening for a postdoc position in QCD within the recently established research unit "Next Generation Perturbative QCD for Hadron Structure". We aim at filling the position between early 2020 and next fall.

Postdoc position in perturbative QCD and small-x physics
The Theoretical Physics Division of Particles and
Fields at the Department of Physics of the University of Zagreb, Croatia, is offering one postdoc position, starting in fall 2020 for the duration of two years.
For this position we are searching for a candidate that will work in the area of small-x physics, perturbative QCD, TMDs, transverse spin, for high energy collisions. The position is funded by the Croatian Science Foundation startup grant SAT-PHENO.
The Medium Energy Physics group at the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in experimental nuclear physics. The successful candidate will join the group’s effort at Jefferson Lab (Newport News, VA) to perform experiments on short-range correlations, as well as, the EMC effect.
The appointment will be initially for one year, with possible renewal for an additional year upon mutual agreement and availability of funds.
