Job Postings

Spin-Isospin laboratory (Chief scientist: Dr. Tomohiro Uesaka), RIKEN Nishina Center, seeks a candidate to fill a research scientist position (tenure) starting April 2014.

The successful candidate is expected to lead research programs in nuclear physics and studies of r-process nucleosynthesis at RI Beam Factory, RIKEN.

Deadline for the application is 17:00 (JST), 31st October, 2013.

Please find attached an announcement regarding a postdoctoral fellowship available at the University of Western Cape. We would appreciate it greatly if you forward this to interested candidates.

Thank you.

With best regards,

INFN has just opened a call for 16 2-years postdoc positions in experimental nuclear&particle physics reserved to non-Italian citizens; the deadline for the presentation of applications is mid November.

The only requirement needed for applicants is to have obtained a PhD less than 8 years ago. People who are preparing their thesis are also
eligible to apply but they need to obtain their PhD before starting the fellowship.

Since there will be (many) more applicants than positions, a committee will later select the "best" candidates.

Postdoctoral Position in Experimental Nuclear Physics with the Canadian Penning Trap Collaboration

The Medium Energy Physics Group at the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory (TUNL) and Duke University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. The group has research interests which include studies of nucleon structure at the High Intensity Gamma Source (HIGS) facility at the Duke University Free Electron Laser Laboratory and at Jefferson Lab, e.g.

The Department of Physics at the University of Virginia invites applicants for a Research Scientist position to work on projects that are ultimately aimed at electron scattering experiments at JLab. Our group has a leading role in the JLab Super Bigbite program, which include measurements of the elastic nucleon form factors as well as studies single-spin asymmetries in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering. Our group is also involved in parity-violation experiments, including PREX-II, CREX, and the proposed MOLLER experiment.
