Please find attached the announcement for a postdoctoral position in Nuclear Structure Physics at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa.

The Old Dominion University Experimental Nuclear Physics group is seeking a postdoctoral associate to support our experimental program at the nearby Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab). The group (consisting of professors M. Amaryan, S. Bueltmann, G. Dodge, C. Hyde, S. Kuhn, and L. Weinstein plus 2-3 postdocs, 10-12 graduate students and Jefferson Lab affiliates) is one of the largest research groups at Jefferson Lab.

The Medium Energy Physics Group at the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory, and at Duke University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. The group has research interests which include studies of nucleon structure at the High Intensity Gamma Source (HIGS) facility at the Duke University Free Electron Laser Laboratory and at Jefferson Lab, e.g.

The Physics Department at The Catholic University of America seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in experimental nuclear physics, to begin in August 2016.

The Hadronic Physics Group at MIT is looking for an excellent POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE to join an ongoing research program studying short-range correlations in nuclei using hard reactions. The research program is carried out mainly at the Thomas Jefferson National Laboratory (JLAB), with future activities planned for the MIcroBooNE experiment at Fermilab and new proton accelerators in Europe, Japan, and/or China.

Jefferson Lab invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate position in Hall C. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in completing the installation and commissioning of the SHMS spectrometer and its detectors as well as participate in the initial Hall C 12 GeV era experiments. Physics topics of these experiments include proton structure functions, color transparency, the EMC effect, short range correlations and semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering.

The Department of Physics at the University of Virginia is seeking a Post-doctoral Research Associate to work in the operation and maintenance of Jefferson Lab Moller polarimeters and in the area of detector development for experimental nuclear and particle physics. Candidates with outstanding research potential and expertise in beam polarimetry are invited to apply.

This is a one year appointment however appointments may be renewed for an additional two, one-year increments and is contingent upon available funding, satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
