The Hadronic Nuclear Physics Group at Florida State University invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to work on the GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab. The group has a long involvement with GlueX, and has a wide range of interests in hadronic physics, with a particular interest in the search for hybrid and other unconventional mesons, as well as interests in advanced scientific computing.

The Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, commencing July 1, 2018, or on a date mutually agreed upon. Outstanding candidates in any area of Experimental Nuclear and Particle Physics will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who will complement the Department’s strengths in medium and high energy fundamental symmetry tests of the Standard Model and searches for new physics, and contribute to on-going collaborations with Jefferson Lab. The Department seeks a scholar with a Ph.D.

We would like to inform you that, as member of a national research project in hadron physics (NINPHA) funded by the INFN National Committee for Theoretical Physics, our THEORY GROUP at INFN CAGLIARI will open soon a two year post-doc position for theoretical research in the field of hadron and spin physics. Salary and benefits will be competitive at the European level.

The Physics Department at The Catholic University of America seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in experimental nuclear physics, to begin in August 2018.

A 2 year post-doctoral position is opened for application at IRFU

(Institut de Recherche sur les lois fondamentales de l'Univers) at the CEA Saclay and IPNO (Institut de Physique Nucleaire Orsay) at the University Paris-Sud at Orsay in the frame of the Laboratory of Excellence P2IO (Physique des 2 Infinis et des Origines).

Description of the work

The Nuclear and Particle Physics Group at the University of New Hampshire (UNH NPG) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will take a leading role in our Jefferson Lab Tensor Spin program. They will also have the opportunity to contribute to the Spin Structure program including production of polarized ammonia for target material for both the Spin Structure and Tensor Spin programs, the Heavy Photon Search, and to propose and initiate new experiments.

The Nuclear and Particle Physics group at New Mexico State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position (Req. No. 1700212S) in Experimental High-Energy Nuclear Physics.

The Physics Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory invites outstanding applicants for postdoctoral positions in the High Energy Nuclear Physics team of the Subatomic Physics Group (P-25) to work on Seaquest with a polarized target (E1039). P-25 is the lead institution on experiment E1039 that will measure the Sivers function of the seaquarks using the Main Injector. The successful applicant will acquire the skills needed to take a leading role in working on all aspects of the E1039 polarized target and the physics analysis.
